Shubman Gill was the find of this series. U need someone to negate the new ball when u travel overseas and he did that perfectly. I could remember he being an debutant in MCG has to face some 10 odd overs of first day at fag end and then the conditions were overcast next day. Australian bowlers were breathing fire after mauling India for 36 all out in previous test... That survival of fittest from Gill with scoring then and there had set up the platform for Rahane to score big in MCG.... Whattt a player Shubman Gill.. Fire🔥

Cheteshwar Pujara is like a life insurance, you’ll never know the value of it until it’s gone...what Harsha Bhogle sir said about Pujara’s innings that “there may have been a broken finger for sure, but there’s no broken spirit” rings so so true. He painstakingly laid the bricks alongside Rahane & the seniors to allow Gill, Pant, Siraj, Sundar, Thakur to build this house.

Magnificent performance from India. One of the best performances by a visiting side in Australia ever. Losing so many players, the quality of those players, the manner in which they crumbled in Adelaide, the bubble restrictions...They could have been forgiven many times if they’d rolled over and lost any time after Adelaide. But they’ve found a resilience that, with due respect, Indian teams of the past just haven’t had. They played with an indomitable spirit and deserved to win. They’ve also unearthed by accident some very handy young players that should make the rest of the world wonder about their dominance going forward.

Harsha Bhogle is a great guy. In the 80s we had a person called Narottam Puri (on AIR and Doordarshan). He was the best example of a test commentator back then. Both Harsha Bhogle and Narottam Puri are way ahead of people like Sanjay Manjrekar

Like Adam said, 2001 changed Indian cricket. That series was superb and then 2005 Ashes. Both these series made me realize that Test Cricket is the best. Then we had the 2019 Ashes which was again on another level. And now 2020 -21 India-Aus series is right up there with these. I'll rate this at the best Indian series ever and one of the best Test series to be played.

you said gill is not a sehwag but i would say usually in the world there are just one pieces of a certain rare species so there is no second sehwag but i would dare to say he would prove himself to be better than sehwag because sehwag was not sehwag at this age and secondly sehwag was not so technically sound or pleasing to the eye i mean he was never elegant to watch but he was effective and destructive but this kid is technically sound, pleasing to the eye and as daring as sehwag so as rightly said by adams that this guy is going to go far if there is a big if he stays humble and grounded which looks like he is looking at his celebration and calm demeanor and he is proving to a worthy student of dravid with same grit and steel but as silently aggressive as dravid and stays healthy and injury free.
