Tom made a very valid point- you don't know what you have until you have given them an opportunity and also the future seems to be in good hands and of course there will be some unlucky ones who will not get chances even in the past we had such luminaries . What i think would be a good strategy is to have a pool of 30 players who should be rotated so that work load management can be done effectively. see there have been some field injuries which will happen can happen but some injuries specially to bowlers like umesh, saini, ishant are not freak in nature but either due to work load or improper physical fitness. yes i can accept ashwin and bhumra's injuries due to overload but still see the australian bowlers all the 4 have been playing and see their fitness levels, so this is one area where you really need to focus. yes this incidents gave opportunities to many players who never in their dreams thought they would play tests like this but none of them disappointed though, credit goes to the domestic and india's investment in A tours and above all my favorite Rahul the wall Dravid for his work. This series has to be one of the best test series. It was as exciting as the Ashes 2005. The biggest positive for India has been their sanguine attitude especially from players who were not even in consideration for playing XI. How India manages these new players along with their senior players will be worth watching because this team has the potential to dominate world cricket but has been underperforming due to poor selection issues

The biggest lessons which Shardul and Sundar gave was 1. Talent is important, grit, resolve and character is more important. Indian top order who fish outside off stump and try to hit sixes and throw their wickets please note. 2. Test cricket is not about block block block but actively looking for loose delivery and scoring against them. The correct balance is the key. May be something for Pujara to reflect upon. Our top order batsman needs to show same resolve consistently. Consistency is missing Atleast 2 potentially 3 of them threw their wickets to terrible shots. Everybody got start and threw their wickets. Sundar and Shardul with less talent than top order but have far more grit, resolve and determination showed how it could be done. Hopefully we are able to draw this test and retain the trophy.
