India proved again that they are a side that can achieve the impossible! Brilliant knocks from Rishab Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara paved the way for India to save a test that looked like a sure shot victory for the Aussies. At a point when Rishab Pant was batting it looked like India would perform the 1st miracle of 2021 in test cricket by giving a brilliant fight and snatching a victory from the jaws of defeat.
The actual spoils for saving the test belongs to Vihari and Ashwin who batted for more than 50 overs to save the test. It was a wonderful display of patience, grit and determination to overcome the world's best test bowling attack. Vihari in particular who was already injured showed why he is held in high esteem as he showed a lot of courage and composure to safeguard his wicket. Ashwin on the other end showed what a talented batsman he is when he puts his mind and value for his wicket.
