I can vouch for what you say. If you passionately want something, dream about, visualise it and stay positive, it is bound to happen. From when I was a little boy I fancied myself as a cricket commentator. I would watch club matches in Chennai over the weekend and commentate to myself mimicking John Arlott or Brian Johnstone or Alan McGilvary etc. And it happened! I got the opportunity to indulge my passion in Jamaica where I lived for 8 years. I was part of the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation's commentary team for 7 of those years and didnt miss a single first class match, test or ODI played during that period at Sabina Park, Kingston - easily the most memorable experience of my life. On another matter Ashwin, why is it that with all the infrastructure and facilities, TN has not won the Ranji trophy for a long, long time? Can you, DK, Washy, Vijay and a few others get together and set this record right?

Ashwin has a temperament of a fast bowler, a gutsy and brainy performer. The way he stood like a rock in the third test is a testament to his fighting spirit. I have always thought Virat Kohli under-utilized him in overseas conditions and coupled that with string of injuries did not help him either. In England, in 2018 series, I thought it was a mistake on Ashwin's part to reveal his bowling tactics during a TV stint there. Ashwin made England dance to his tunes in the first test but they quickly neutralized him later and then Ashwin got subsequently injured and India lost a match winning bowler. I just hope in the coming overseas tests Ashwin is used more frequently and also Ashwin keeps himself fit and plays a part in many more overseas victories, specially in countries like England, South Africa etc. After all, a players legacy is enriched when he performs really well in tough overseas conditions. That would be a fitting end to his stupendous career and a great bowler like him deserves that type of ending. I just hope Ashwin keeps himself fit and plays well for at least another 3 to 4 years and brings even more laurels to the nation. Best of luck Ashwin, you are a great trier!
